Overview
Nocturne is a dive assassin jungler who specializes in isolating enemy carries and turning fights into chaos. His ultimate, Paranoia, allows him to pressure the entire map and punish enemies who position too far from safety. When played correctly, Nocturne can completely control the tempo of the mid game by forcing picks and threatening the backline.
Strengths
- Very strong pick potential with ultimate
- Global pressure across the map
- Excellent at killing isolated carries
- Strong dueling power against many junglers
- Can completely disrupt backline positioning
Weaknesses
- Can be shut down by heavy crowd control
- Predictable engage pattern
- Struggles when behind
- Requires good target selection
- Weak if enemies stay grouped and protected
Early Game
In the early game Nocturne should focus on efficient jungle clears and identifying lanes that are vulnerable to pressure. While he can duel many junglers, forcing risky fights too early can delay his level 6 spike. A safe and efficient early path into Paranoia is usually the most reliable strategy.
Mid Game
Mid game is where Nocturne becomes extremely dangerous. With Paranoia available he can instantly collapse onto isolated targets or punish enemies pushing lanes too aggressively. Coordinating with teammates for picks and vision control is key to maintaining pressure.
Late Game
In late game fights Nocturne must be careful about when he commits. Diving too early can lead to instant crowd control and death. Waiting for enemy cooldowns to be used before engaging increases his chances of successfully eliminating priority targets.
Tips & Tricks
- Use your ultimate to punish isolated enemies rather than forcing teamfight dives.
- Track enemy crowd control before committing.
- Vision denial increases the threat of Paranoia significantly.
- Side lane pressure creates perfect pick opportunities.
- Patience in fights often leads to better assassinations.
