Overview
Smolder is a scaling marksman who becomes stronger over time through stack-based progression and safe ranged damage. He starts relatively modestly, but once he reaches key stack and item thresholds, he turns into a very consistent late game carry with strong poke and fight finishing potential.
Strengths
- Excellent scaling into late game
- Safe ranged damage output
- Becomes very reliable with enough stacks
- Strong poke and finishing power
- Useful in structured front-to-back fights
Weaknesses
- Weaker early game than many lane bullies
- Needs time and stacks to reach full power
- Can be punished by strong all-in lanes
- Less threatening before key spikes
- Positioning still matters heavily in teamfights
Early Game
In the early game Smolder should prioritize safe farming, efficient stack building, and avoiding reckless fights. He does not need to dominate lane if he can reach his scaling thresholds cleanly.
Mid Game
Mid game is where Smolder starts becoming more relevant if his progression is on track. He can contribute meaningful poke and damage, especially if his team can keep fights structured.
Late Game
In late game fights Smolder becomes a very serious carry threat. If he is protected well enough to keep hitting, his scaling damage and reliable range can take over extended fights.
Tips & Tricks
- Stack progression is a major part of your real power curve.
- Safe farm is often better than risky early fighting.
- Your late game matters much more than forcing early chaos.
- Structured fights favor you heavily.
- Do not underestimate how important positioning still is.
