Overview
Xerath is a long-range artillery mage who excels at poke damage, siege pressure, and controlling fights from extreme distance. He becomes incredibly oppressive when enemies cannot close the gap and are forced to approach through his spell pressure.
Strengths
- Extremely long range damage
- Excellent siege pressure
- Strong poke before fights start
- Very strong against grouped enemies
- Great objective pressure
Weaknesses
- Very low mobility
- Extremely vulnerable to dive
- Needs strong positioning discipline
- Can struggle if enemies close distance
- Mistakes are punished heavily
Early Game
In the early game Xerath should focus on poke pressure, safe lane control, and keeping enemies at distance rather than forcing risky trades.
Mid Game
Mid game is where Xerath becomes a huge siege and objective threat. His long-range damage can force enemies off objectives or weaken them before fights begin.
Late Game
In late game fights Xerath should rely on safe positioning and long-range spell pressure. If enemies cannot reach him, he can dominate fights from afar.
Tips & Tricks
- Distance is your greatest defense.
- Siege situations favor you heavily.
- Dive threats must always be respected.
- Softening enemies before fights is key.
- Positioning mistakes are extremely punishing.
