Overview

Janna is a defensive enchanter support who excels at peeling carries, denying engages, and controlling the pace of fights with disengage tools. Her value comes from making enemy dives fail and giving her backline the freedom to keep dealing damage safely.

Strengths

  • Excellent disengage and peel
  • Strong protection for carries
  • Very useful movement speed and shield support
  • Punishes overaggressive engages
  • Scales well into coordinated teamfights

Weaknesses

  • Lower direct threat than hard engage supports
  • Can feel weak if team has no damage to protect
  • Needs good timing to stop dives
  • Less effective when far behind
  • Can struggle if forced into proactive fights constantly

Early Game

In the early game Janna should focus on keeping lane stable, protecting her ADC from bad trades, and punishing enemy overcommitment. She does not need to force lane dominance to be useful.

Mid Game

Mid game is where Janna's utility becomes very noticeable. Rotations, objective setups, and small skirmishes become much easier for her team when she controls enemy engage timing.

Late Game

In late game fights Janna should prioritize keeping her carries alive and denying enemy access to them. Smart peel wins more games than forcing random aggressive plays.

  • Hold your key tools for real threats, not minor poke.
  • Peeling your carry is often your highest-value play.
  • Punish enemies who overcommit too deep.
  • Vision and positioning matter a lot for defensive supports.
